WordNet 2.0 data files in MySQL format

We took the Prolog database format WordNet 2.0 files and converted them to MySQL batch script format. All you need to do is download the zip file below, unzip it to a directory of your choosing, and import the files in to MySQL. The unextracted file named wordnet20-from-prolog-all-3.sql will create the necessary tables and database for you.  The database name is wn_pro_mysql.

** UPDATE NOTE: If you downloaded the original wordnet20-from-prolog-all-1.zip or older file you need to download the latest version.  There was a problem with the original conversion which lead to some WordNet entries being improperly discarded and the several of the smaller tables were malformed. **

Documentation notes

Since these MySQL data files were derived from the Prolog format files, you should download the original Prolog format package to get the package documentation files.  These documentation files will explain to you the table structure and field definitions found in the MySQL tables created by wordnet20-from-prolog-all.sql.

However, make sure you read this:

We renamed the original table names used in the Prolog data files to longer more explanatory names.  When reading the original Prolog documentation files, use the following table to map the original Prolog file names to the new MySQL table names found in the wn_pro_mysql database:
